When cell phones first came out, they were larger than home phones. These devices evolved so much, that when I first saw the razor I laughed. I thought to myself, "who would ever buy this tiny breakable thing"? Little did I know it would be huge in the market.
We have also come from 25" tube computer monitors on desktops, to plasma/lcd 1 inch thick monitors and now the ultra slim Mac Book air. This laptop is so thin that you can fit it in a yellow packaging slip. I now think to myself, "who will ever buy this"? And yet again, I'm sure it will be an even bigger hit. This specific laptop has no CD/DVD player, no Ethernet cord, and no hard drive. Unbelievable in my eyes.
I think that, in the future, I will not need a cellphone, a laptop and a TV station any more along with the technology development. All the functions in the above equipments will be combined into one thing, maybe called CLT. It will be small and portable. We will need only one, instead of three or four equipments. We can do anything we want. I will see what will change our lives in 50s later.
ReplyDeleteIn the lineage of creating more products, Apple might be a bit over looking some extreme changes that are being missed a lot by the consumers. For example, the back-lit keyboard, un-upgradable memory in the Mac-book air, battery that cannot be user replaceable etc. For some, this machine can only be good for its portability that performance. Whatever it may give out, "Apple" as a brand is really selling as hot cakes.
